Yoga helps folks with special needs

If you are looking for a way to bring calm and to build stamina for folks with special needs, watch this video and read the article just published in the Chicago Tribune: "Yoga offers benefits for people with special needs"  As one of the teachers recognizes, "The beauty of yoga is that it helps you wherever you are at," said Fakroddin.  Gadi Revivo, a pediatrician who specializes in rehabilitation, says that even though yoga is thousands of years old, it brings something new to his special-needs patients. We’ve go two more Family Fun Yoga programs coming up!
We will be at the Kearns Library on Monday March 12th at 7 pm and at the Tyler Library on Tues March 13th at 7. Here’s a comment from last month: “Thank you so much to Green Tree Yoga for the family yoga class. My family all enjoyed it very much. I especially appreciate some of the skills that my daughters are using – as it happens, at this very moment as I am writing this – to quiet down. My husband liked it so much he’s willing to try an adult yoga class with me. Thanks!” Rebecca Howard.”
